02-20 2025 | By:

These 2 pad-mounted transformers will be sent to the Philippines, The capacity of these three transformer are 600 kVA,1250 kVA and the voltage is 34.5/0.46kV.

What is Pad-mounted Transformer:

A pad-mounted transformer consists of a transformer with HV and LV side protections, optionally operating on a ring feeder. The HV side includes fuses for short circuit and thermal protection and a load break switch for isolation. The LV side includes MCCB and fuses as per customer requirements. The HV and LV connections and protections are accessible through front opening compartments with appropriate interlocking doors. Thus, pad-mounted transformers are a perfect alternative to compact substations in every respect.

Pad type transformer

The basic advantage of pad-mounted transformers over compact substations is that they take up less space. Pad-mounted transformers are particularly suitable for urban distribution systems, where each pad-mounted transformer caters to the needs of one building/residential complex. The cover over the box is accessible through the cabinet, which protects against tampering and environmental influences. Available range from 100kVA to 2000kVA, primary voltage up to 33kV, secondary side up to 600V.
